The short version: the figures you enter never leave your browser. There is no account, no server-side database, and no mechanism by which the operator of this site could read your plan.

The plan data you enter

Everything you type into the planner — salaries, account balances, benefit estimates, expenses, birth years — is stored in your browser's localStorage, on the device you are using. It is never sent to a server, because there is no server to send it to. The site is a set of static files; all calculations run locally in your browser.

Consequences worth understanding:

The Export Plan File feature writes your plan to a JSON file that your browser downloads directly. That file is generated locally and is not uploaded anywhere. Once you have it, its confidentiality is entirely in your hands — it contains your complete financial picture in plain text.

The Clear All Data button in Assumptions removes the figures from your browser.

Printing and PDF export

The printable report is rendered by your browser and passed to your operating system's print dialog. Saving it as a PDF is a local operation. Nothing is transmitted in the process.

Offline use

The site registers a service worker so it can run without a network connection. It caches the application's own files — HTML, JavaScript, CSS, icons — so the app loads offline. It does not cache, read, or transmit your plan data.

Server logs

The site is served by a standard web server, which records ordinary request logs: IP address, the file requested, timestamp, user agent, and referrer. These are used to keep the site running and secure. They are not linked to your plan data, because your plan data never reaches the server.

Analytics

There is no analytics service on this site. No Google Analytics, no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting, and no third-party analytics scripts of any kind.

Children

This site is a retirement planning tool intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Your control

Because your data is held in your own browser, you control it directly. Clear it with the Clear All Data button, or by clearing site data in your browser settings. Neither action requires a request to anyone, and neither can be reversed.

Changes

If this policy changes materially — in particular, if advertising or analytics are ever introduced — the date below will be updated and the relevant section added before the change takes effect.
